Introduction of undergraduate Programs
Theoretical and Applied Mechanics
Engineering Structure Analysis
Theoretical and Applied Mechanics program aims to cultivate top talents who should master the fundamental mechanical theory and basic principles, receive the training of scientific research and engineering application, and have capacity in solving scientific and engineering problems in the related field. Graduates may choose to be employed in related fields or other career paths, including industry, academe, and government organizations, or continue professional development by obtaining post-graduate degrees. Emphasis in the freshman year is on mathematics, chemistry, physics, and computer programming. The sophomore, junior and senior years are devoted to mechanics of materials, theory of elasticity, fluid mechanics, and experiment training.
 
Total credits: 151 credits, including:
  • Compulsory Course: 94 credits
  • Compulsory Course (General): 32 credits
  • Compulsory Course (Math): 27 credits
  • Compulsory Course (Major): 35 credits
  • Elective Course: 51 credits
  • Elective Course (General): 12 credits
  • Elective Course (Physics/Chemistry): 15 credits
  • Elective Course (Major): 24 credits
  • Graduation Thesis/Capstone Design: 6 credits
